If you do not keep to this law you could be liable for a { life assurance } fine of up to £30 and if the case goes to court, those costs could rocket to £500. The only exceptions are if there is an emergency, you are travelling in a car without any seatbelts or you child is a passenger in a taxi.

Even worse, if you have an accident when your child is in the car ( secured loans ) and you do not have them fitted in the adequate device, your insurance company may not pay out the money. It might be a daunting thought for those who have spent years paying out their car insurance only to be refused a claim at their greatest time of need.
